You know, after I posted I went to their website, and I have to agree. I knew not to put it on the counter, the directions stated it. I wish they would not have called it recalled -- cause they just have more specific directions now. (but I guess they are "recalled" for the sticker on them!)

However, I am guilty of using it on top of a booth at a restaurant.:o And on the tabel at home -- I fed the kids in it for awhile. Oh well. I was very cautious of possible hazzards. However, I really thought there was no way they were getting out of there. I think it depends on their age?
