Ok, I have got it bad, any info, advice?
I have a rotting wisdom tooth that I remember pointing out to a dentist like 5/6 years ago as I could feel a tiny hole, well that hole has been slowly growing for years. In the last 6 months it has literally broken down til it feels like there is only a quarter of it left:eek: :( I have an appointment to have it checked out this coming Tuesday and am sooo looking forward to that, I want it GONE!
I have one other very sensitive tooth and a few others that bother me off and on, what can I do? I don't want any dental work! I have not been to a dentist in at least 3 years because I have been pregnant and or breastfeeding.
***what do you think of this***
For the pain....
I don't want to take any freezing/drugs, should I get the tooth pulled "Raw"?:p Like my MIL pointed out, can't compare to a 6 hour labor right?;) ;) :p :p :D (I handle pain quite well, I have probably had tylenol like 5 times in my whole life, never end up using the pills I have been given to take home after having other teeth pulled:D )
I asked my acupuncturist if she could help with the pain but she said not her field of expertise...:(
HYPNOTISTA!! any advice? I phoned one hypnotist and she said she didn't think trying it with hypno was a good idea, yet my Nana would see a hypnotist for her dental work as the anesthetic was ineffective for her!?!

Should I just keep calling till I reach someone experienced in this?

Hi,

So sorry you are having teeth problems! Not Cool!

If you were to find an experienced hynotherapist and you say you can tolerate pain well, I would say go for it! I have had hypnosis done many times. Just make sure you have an appt. with them first to see if you feel comfortable with them and you feel they can do the job.

Best and healing,

Pansy:)

OMG! Get the novacaine! I can't imagine getting teeth pulled at all, let alone without pain relief.

But that is just me! Let us know what you decide and the outcome!

Hahaha, I love your spontaneous honesty RVM :D

I have had one wisdom tooth and one molar pulled and both were no problem at all, I was stumped as to why they sent me home with the tylenol #3's as I didn't "NEED" anything, wasn't in pain:confused:

Pansy, thank you for the advice, I will try calling around for a good hypno, I really should just PM Hypnotista for advice on how to pick a good hypnotherapist instead of hoping she will read this :o

Oh dear Danny!

that is too bad! I don't have any advice, but I do send you my prayers that it will all be taken care of - you know, speaking of hyno - my mom is a hypnotherapist. Ill ask her if she's ever dealt with anything like your situation.

Oh Danny, so sorry to hear your having dental problems. Sounds like you have a very high tolerance for pain. That's always good. I will be sending soothing, healing thoughts your way.

Well I had to post the grand finale ;)
Today I had the rotten ole thing pulled and BOY do I feel GREAT! :D :D
Was quite funny, the assistant/hygienist, was discussing post op info and said "you will have to eat soft foods for a few days" HA! I LAUGHED!
She must have thought I had a few screws loose but she didn't know that we eat a pretty soft diet already, plus when she said that, visions of delicious fruit soups and smoothies sloshed through my head :D :D :D :D :D :D teehehehehe
So yeah, I did accept the freezing as my Sweet Sis Sara, who happens to be a dental hygienist pointed out, it puts the Dr. in a difficult position cause without the freezing he would feel like he was torturing me :o :(
But it was very short and sweet (nice staff!) and here I am coping just fine with out post op meds  :p I think my cheek/face is mostly sore from being stretched to reach back there!
All is well that ends well :) :) :) :)
