Who uses a Neti Pot (http://www.netipot.org/)

How often do you use it?

What solution do you use? Do you make your own? How?

Do you use it in the shower or sink, or ... other?:D

Also -- anyone used it on kids?

I bought one about 6 weeks ago, and I have not opened it.:o

THANKS!

I used one back in Singapore. It is good to do it weekly to cleanse the nostril passage. I remember when I first did it, I never knew I had ALOT OF GUNK in my passage!!!

I used salt water solution. No actual measurement just enough boiled salty water - you add the salt to make it salty.

I did it in the shower.

Never done it on kids.... I have none you see, well not yet ;)

I find that I breather better and cleaner. Others say it helps them in their sinus. For me I just felt better and lighter and surely this sinus region affects awhole lot of other parts of our bodies such as the mind/brain, eye sight, throat ala ENT, then the Ida and Pingala Nadis which open the Shushumna Nadi.... uh wait too much yoga jargon there aisah. Sorry guys its 16 minutes past 2 in the morning. Just got back home!! Kandy guy leave me alone... so anyway, where was I.... um ja, okay its gud for you, trust me ;)

Have a go.... ask away should you need to know more... bedtime for me soon zzzzzzzzzzzzz

I was using one regularly but then I dropped it and it broke.:( I will get one in the future. After using it I was able to smell the fresh air. It did help with my nasal congestion especially in the winter when the air was dry from the heater.

From what I remember it's like a tsp. of salt. They do sell special salt for it or use can use sea salt. Don't use "regular" salt for it contains iodine. If you use too much your nose will burn. The water should be warm. Make sure you tilt your head completely to one side or the solution will go down your throat. (yuck:eek: ) Do each nostril with the neti pot solution. Then blow your nose. If you feel water logged afterward there is an excerise you can do to get the water out. Bend over and touch your left foot with your right arm while looking up at your left arm which should be pointed to the sky ( kind of like a yoga pose), then repeat with the other side. Then blow your nose.

Hope this helps answer some of your questions. Oh yeah and I did over my sink as often as I needed. :)
