Smile Raw- Masala Dosa?

Greetings friends
sometimes i would like to eat masala dosas but i really would like to make a raw one. masala dosas are south indian style wraps and on the inside they have potatoes , onions, veggies. To make a traditional dosa you soak and ferment the rice and urad dal overnight or longer, then fry it into a wrap (shaped like pancake). i am wondering if i can just dehydrate that urad dal/ rice mixture and eat that raw like a regular masala dosa? i just started experimenting with coconut chutney too. i will explain the recipe when i make a good batch.

Cheri Soria has a recipe to sprout rice.. 24 hrs in a covered jar in dehydrator.... and then eat it......

Rinse the wild rice and place it in a 1 quart glass jar. Fill the jar with purified water, and place the covered jar in a 105-degree dehydrator for 24 hours to soften and “bloom”.
Drain the rice well and put it into a large bowl.

It’s worth the 24 hours it takes to “bloom” this wild rice, which not really rice or even grain--it is a seed that grows in marshes, mostly in Canada and the northern United States. It is harvested by Native Americans and processed in their traditional method, which involves smoking. Even though it is not technically raw, most raw food enthusiasts enjoy wild rice when it has been soaked until it “blooms” to a fluffy texture.

have fun and '''share'''' your recipe? Joz

wow thanks wyjoz. what do you think about regular brown rice or jasmine , or basmati rice as they use in india? the only thing is wild rice is quite expensive. but i may try. otherwise you can do a zuchini/flax wrap with fenugreek/ masala for the shell and then potatoes, maybe cauliflower, or jicama or almond pulp. once i find a nice recipe i will definately share it.
