nice to meet you :-)
I think this forum is tops for newbies, I've been hovering around here for a couple of years now, and I'm still not really raw, but it has a wealth of info and everyone is nice. I'm working on it, and I think the process has just been VERY gradual for me
Something I did was a did the 21 day cleanse from the Garden diet by the Taliferos. (google it) I think this was the main turning point for me personally. There is no dehydrator or fancy equipment needed, but they do use a food processor and an automatic citrus juicer. I think it was good because it was like a sampling of all the different types of raw diets - there were some days just fruit, some days green heavy, some days higher fat, most of the time it was just nice simple food. There is also some exercising and happiness exercises, because they take a holistic approach to the cleanse. And I think they are pretty reasonably priced, you get a lifetime membership plus a ton of helpful resources for beginners.
Also buy some books on raw food, research etc. Experiment with recipes. You might be able to pick up a cheap dehydrator 2nd hand. I got mine from my mum - it's 15 yrs old and not fancy at all, but I figure it'll do the job until I decide if I want to save up for a good one.
I find youtube is another great resource for raw food.
Just have fun and don't stress out about diets!
