Post The Water Cure

Got this in my inbox from Mike Adams, the Health Ranger:

Today I'm sharing the true story of what is probably the
least-understood health secret in the Western world. It's something
your doctor never told you and health authorities never learned. And
yet it could be the key to solving the very health problems you may be
suffering from right now, including high blood pressure, asthma and
even arthritis.

This secret isn't patented. It's not available by prescription and it
costs almost nothing. In fact, from time to time, it falls out of the
sky and collects in huge pools on the Earth.

What is it? Water.

Water may someday be recognized as the single most important healing
medicine we could possibly consume, and our special report, "The
Healing Power of Water," explains why. You can read it right now at:

http://www.newstarget.com/Report_water_cure_0.html

Physicians rarely promote the curative properties of H2O, but Dr.
Batmanghelidj, M.D. has studied water's effect on the human body and
has found it to be one of the best pain relievers and preventative
therapies in existence. I was one of the last people to interview the
late Dr. Batmanghelidj, and I listened in awe as he shared his
research and stories about "The Healing Power of Water."

In a fascinating one-hour phone conversation I will never forget, Dr.
B. shared things like:

* Which common ailments and "diseases" are actually caused by
dehydration

* Why many doctors use water-regulating antihistamines to alleviate
pain

* How Dr. Batmanghelidj unintentionally discovered water's healing
properties

* Why most people are chronically dehydrated and suffer from symptoms
of dehydration that are labeled "diseases"

* Which ingredients in soft drinks deplete the body's water reserves

* Why thirst is not a reliable indicator of dehydration

* Why the body produces cholesterol and how water keeps it in balance

* Why Dr. Batmanghelidj believes the public is being mislead about
AIDS

* How dehydration impairs mental functioning

* Why some organizations want to withhold alternative health
information from the public

* How lack of water causes depression

* Why popular beverages are no substitute for water

* How dehydration causes the vascular system to constrict, leading to
hypertension

* How to recognize signs that your body is starting to dehydrate

* Why restaurants push you to drink disease-promoting soft drinks

* Why and how water effectively treats pain and inflammation

Want to learn the rest of this fascinating story? Download "The
Healing Power of Water" right now and read it yourself. It's offered
in PDF format (Adobe Acrobat), so it works on any computer!

hey mama! aqua es definitely muy importante! about last month, i had intense eye pains! REAL intense... i couldn't even sleep, b/c they hurt. then i drank a gallon of water , it seems i was very dehydrated. before that, i was lethargic for about 2 weeks. now i try to incorporate drinking at least half my body weight in water.

i checked out 2 books by Dr. Batmanghelidj, M.D. they're very informative for anyone who likes to read books like i do.

Thank you so much for posting this! I am goign to look for those books at my local library first, then see if I can find them used!

When you say 1/2 your body weight in water--- do mean in ounces, (you weigh 100lbs, so you drink 50 ounces of water per day) or you weight your water consumption in lbs?

Thanks again!

RVM & friends:

this 'feels' right, somehow. it connects with information we posted about the body's need for more oxygen, due to many factors, like less O in the air now and pollution, our nutrient deficits, and the fact that until we are very 'advanced' in growth, we don't breath properly because of tension. H2O contains oxygen, of course.

when we ate nothing but fruit once for 7 months, we ate all day long (we called it 'grazing') and we never felt better in our lives. so we were getting lots of great water that way - purified by the plants, nutrient dense and sun-kissed, lol

we have remained Big supporters of eating LOTS of fruit (nectar of the gods)
the earth produces so much fruit of so many kinds that it has been said that mankind could live on just the fruit that goes to waste every year!

from the article and other it looks like this is daily requirement for adults:

- 1 Qt/Ltr for loss in breathing
- 2.5 Qt/Ltr for urination
- .5+ for sweating (depending on activity level/air temp/humidity)

this means at least 1 gallon/day or 16 cups or 1 cup/hr wake time (more if hot/sweating)

we thought we were drinking enough but not so - we are increasing as of now! (we are blessed here with pure running water from a mountain stream- one advantage of living in the boonies, lol)

RVM, thanks for this info. we feel it's going to be very helpful for all who take it seriously, as we do.

Don, are you going for the sweet water (sweet fruits) or for the more sour

ones?

I tend to like the more sour (blueberries, grapefruit, lemon/lime, watermelon..)

They seem also more cleansing to me. Also I have read a lot about "pH"
and high sugar fruits, and high sugar being a "feedingbottom" for microorganisms.

When I was pregnant, I was told by my midwife to drink 2 gallons each day. My chiropractor agreed, but said everyone should be drinking 2 gallons each day, preggo or not.

I strive for that, but can ususally only get 2 liters in.

LL; we don't even think about it, lol. for us it's like counting carbs or 'special diets' or how much 'protein' etc. no way, mon

all fruits (even acidic ones) are alkalizing in the body as their ash is alkaline. (disease organisms need acidic environment to flourish)

we feel quite sure that for us any ripe organic fruit is great, and have over 25 yrs eating all the fruit we can afford behind us as proof (we discovered the high value of fruit when we went 'fruit only' for 7 months in 1981. (with a few raw nuts thrown in, lol)

the sugar in fruit is fructose, which is Very different from all other types. it uses a different metabolic pathway and doesn't need insulin to break it down, so you don't get the high/low roller coaster which people get addicted to. the water in fruit has been filtered by the plant and 'kissed' by lots of sun, so for us fruit is 'Nectar of the Gods'!!!!

RVM, you got a ways to go, then, hey lol.
2 gallons - you'd be doing nothing but drinking; that would be like 2 cups every waking hour, lol (and you're supposed to sip it, too, not just whack it down!)

when we drink plain water, we like to add a little lemon/lime to it. we measured how much liquid (essentially water - drinks, smoothies, soup, herbal tea, fruit etc) we ingest each day and we are at about 3 qts ea so will be upping that to about 4 in light of the Water article. Lets all get wet, hey.

2 gallons?!!! i get in about 4-16.9 fl oz/day, & i am very adverse to doing math.

some raw foodists believe that one would need less water than the recommended, but the dr. behind "the water cure" does argue about that in one of his books. i'll find out about that & post.

it is agreed that raw foodists do need less water than SAD eaters but still need water regardless. SAD'ers will need to consume more due to the dehydrating effects of caffeine(soda), coffee, etc.... but then there are those who live in drought-stricken countries & who are able to live on a lot less water than the recommended, hm..., well, there are a lot of factors to consider, hu?

am i the only one that analyzes when i go to the bathroom, check out the color & go "uh-oh... i must be dehydrated."
