UPDATE ... raw restaurant

For all the rawbies that helped me thru this... MANY MAHALOS!!

just thought I'd give you an update on what my decision was....

I took your advice and had a long talk with my gf and my dh.
I laid out all my concerns... and oh boy am I glad I did! During this conversation many truths were revealed and basically it boiled down to this...

it was going to be a fun 'toy' for her.. Yes support it financially but as far as roll up the sleeves and get in the kitchen and cut veggies and scrub up after closing ... noooo ~ cuz she really loves her relaxed uncomplicated life ---- it was more like something to play with occassionally...

and as far as my dh was concerned... he would help out - occassionally - but he did inform me that he's a busy man and could not 'COMMIT' to specific hours when he would be around to help... and I know it would've ended up being more of a 'social gathering' fun thing for him.... sit around and drink smoothies with all his friends kinda thing...

and then there was me ... in the kitchen... doing all the work...
ummm... sorry folks... that didn't work for me - so...

the answer is no thank you. and laughingly... they still tried to talk me into it... and in fact were both rather disappointed with me for my answer!
hmmm.... I found THAT rather hilarious!

so... I thank everyone for their honest answers... I took them to heart and I have decided that this opportunity is not for me (not at this time anyway - and with these conditions!!)...

so RAWK ON!! and I gotta tell ya... I'm feelin very free right now ...

Oh StarFire, I'm so glad that you had an opportunity to explore this in depth BEFORE it gets going. What an awkward and no-fun situation that would have been!

I agree. Much better to find out ahead of time than get stuck in something you wouldn't have been happy with. The right time and opportunity will come!

StarFire...your so wise to have the deep conversation BEFORE you went ahead with the restaurant opening....so much work is involved doing something like that and a quick way to lose a friend who's doing it for the 'fun' of it.

Your such a special spirit that I can see where anyone would want you as a part of their lives and business.

For selfish reasons I hoped you'd say no because you wouldn't have any time to post here and I love reading everything you have to say...
