Restaurant Card

Has anyone else used this Restaurant Card before from Victoria Boutenko's book? I just made it up and put it on card stock.

Last night I went to dinner and wrote down items on a napkin and gave it to the waiter. That's when I remembered this card.

I EAT ONLY RAW, UNCOOKED FOODS.
I would like a salad or vegetable plate
With only fresh, uncooked items:

Lettuce, tomato, avocado, , carrot,
Zucchini, sprouts, cucumber, celery,
Broccoli, scallions, radish, onion,
Cauliflower, parsley, cabbage, kale,
Spinach, cilantro, bell pepper, beets,
Mushrooms, bok choy, arugula, chard,

Thank you for your creative efforts!

I have often thought about making up a little card like that as well, however we have not been out to eat at any point in the past 6 years. When we are out of town, or out for the day we just automatically stop by the local market or produce stand and I make Green Smoothies or just eat fruit.

It would be most handy while traveling for us tho.

I'm weird about cards like these. I don't know why. I just know I could never use one. I'd rather just ask for a dry salad & see what other veggies they have that I'd be able to add, and ask if they have a fruit plate. I don't know. There's something about the cards that is just a turn off. They almost sound kind of demanding.

Be demanding, it is your body. In my opinion you need to be in controll of it. LOL

I have never used such cards but whenever I eat out I would.... in my most sympathetic, innocent look.... and in my most sweetest voice ever.... advise the waiter/waitress that I am on a special diet.... I cannot eat anything cooked and I am allergic to salt pepper etc... its from my Doctor's advise ..... I would ask for a side small bowl of olive oil which I would rarely use.... and it always worked

Most times I would even have the Manager come out and ask if everything was okay and if I needed anything else

.... and when asked what would I like for drink and I would.... again in my mostest harmless look.... proclaim in my softest voice ever.... 'Oh I cannot eat AND drink (which is almost true, but wait, its not cannot its more of do not ) for if I do, I would have a terrible indigestion.....'

Exclamation

Well of course, only you could get away with this!
The rest of us have to pull the waiter aside and say hey could ya check this out for me, and see if you have anything on your menu like this and give them the card, tell them to read it over and get back with ya, - thankyou , in a sincere voice
most waiters/waitresese want to comply with you so you'll comply with them when tip time comes around

As you can see from the rest of my post, I am still in control of it. I don't need to use a card that may make it seem like I'm too good to verbally explain what I want/like. I also don't think a raw foodist would be eating out that often. One meal that kind of sucks or is kind of boring won't be that big of a deal in the scheme of things.

I think you just pointed it out... the tip!! Yes over here in Asia, it is not a tipping nation. So I believe they do their jobs as it and not basing it on whether do I get enough tip from this customer should I do what she/he requires??!
