Interesting thread here. I personally have the K-tec (I chose it because it was more powerful than the Vitamix and I have been very happy with my choice) but my daughter can't afford to pay $400.00 for a blender. And the blender she uses will make green smoothies but there are still small pieces of leaves in it. So it's good to read what others use.

Well the site shrunk it down to where you can't read the info about it so this is what it say:

I went all out when I bought a blender. I make green smoothies at least once a day. There are brand new blenders out now that are much more powerful. Mine is a Waring MX1000XT. It's 3.5 hp and 45,000 rpm. It cost $319. I went for this blender because it's the most powerful on the market right now and my "normal" blender wasn't mixing well enough and wasn't big enough. Also I am very interested in what people are saying about high-speed blenders being able to break the cell walls of the food in order to get way more nutrition out of it.

It's sooo good to go to a raw food presentation... Yesterday at the middle of the class with Rose, my hubby suddenly turned to me with excitement and said: ummm, I guess we really need a Vitamix!
