ME WANT KELP NOODLES TOOOOOOOOOO!!! *tapping her foot on the floor*
Where can u get those again? And pleeeeeeeease tell me they ship to Canada or else I'll have to put a dodo to work.
Oh, and I LOVE your little peppermint flowers. What kind of moulds did u use for these?
The kelp noodles are ok.... I bought a whole case from them directly... wouldn't do that again. Sea Tangle. I don't think they mail to Canada but you can check them out.
The flowers were cut out by biscuit cutters.... hehe. I made the bars in a square tart pan and then used a biscuit cutter to make the shapes that are no bigger around than a quarter and about an inch tall. The "scraps" i'm gonna make into ice cream.
I made them this way because Pat hates mint ( remember the exorcist story? ). I told him he had to try them, at least one. Well after he ate 5 of them he said he really didn't like mint!! Oh really....???? How come you ate 5 of them!!!!!
Thanks for the feedbacks re: the noodles. So they're nothing special, eh?
Ohhhhh, genius idea with the cookie cutters! Did u chill them first?
Ha ha... Well Don is in a phase of overcoming previous food aversions such as broccoli and collards. Yippee! It just goes to show it all depends on the recipes, eh...
Huh, out of curiosity, what did you make your mashed tatoes with? I'm not a huge fan of the cauliflower based ones and am still on the look out...
It was the recipe (more or less) from Juliano -- cauliflower and cashews with lemon juice, salt and pepper.
I'll be honest, mashed cauliflower has never done it for me either... but for some reason this one was really, really, really good -- the cauliflower itself was just about perfect, which goes a long way to making the dish turn out well.
About the only thing I'd change about the frittata was to add about twice as much collard greens -- the flavor profile was spot on, though...
