Hey girlie,

You know, I haven't tried that many either, come to think of it. When I found RawGuru's recipe (in entree section), I liked it so much I kinda stopped searching. lol But it calls for burdock root which is key and I think you've mentioned before you can't find it where you are. Bummer.

I like Ani's

2 celery stalks (3/4 c) chopped
1/4 c yellow onion chopped
1/2 c red bell pepper
1 t sea salt
2 t oregano fresh or dry
1 c sunflower seeds, ground
1/2 c flax seeds, ground
1/2 c water

Put it all in a bowl, water last, and mix well (I am lazy, I threw all the veggies in my FP and the veggies were juicy so I didn't need water ). Form 4 balls and flatten into patties.

OPTIONAL: dehydrate for 3 hours at 104, serve warm

Oooo, I wanted to try the burgers from RAWvolution (Sara has that book) but they looked way to complex for a busy Mom!!
Glad to hear they are good, maybe some day

What is yellow onion-is it a golden shallot or is it what we call a brown onion? Do you have brown onions as well?

jess - my guess is that it's the same as a brown onion. The papery skin is kind of brown, and the flesh of the onion is yellow-ish. It is a full-size onion, not a shallot.

Thanks for that Sienna-had been wondering.. Speaking of burgers I made as mentioned the jalapeno burgers by Ocean- WOW! These were so yummy-make sure you at least triple the recipe. I made the mistake of giving a taste to my hubby and he would have eaten the whole batch, despite having already having had dinner-they didn't even make it to the dehydrator. Thanks so much for sharing the recipe Ocean.
I also made the vegie burger recipe from The Raw Way and it is really nice-we had it with home made tomato ketchup from Matt Amsdens book.
Also I made pecan patties from Allisa Cohen's book. I have someone coming over for lunch so have put them in vacuseal containers for then.
I had a bit of space still left so filled it up with zuchinni chips and used the leftover marinade for some portabello mushrooms. I might use them on wraps with some zucchini hummus.
I did some recipes the other day but when I edited them I just pressed save on a lot of them and so lost them. Shall re-do them today.
I have the day off and am looking forward to reading the two e-books I down-loaded and am waiting for Carmella's new book to arrive in the mail. What a treat! Have made your house dressing and can see why it is your favourite. Anyway happy un-cooking everyone. I am a bit kitchened out at present. PS I have lost a stone in weight since getting back to a healthier diet-has only been a short while, but really was tempted to starve myself as I wanted to lose weight so much. I had read articles which basically said it was impossible with thyroid disease and liver trouble. Just goes to show you shouldn't give away your power to other peoples opinions.

When I edit something what do I press afterwards? I am having a bit of a problem and the old post is staying there.
