Kris Carr and Dr. Oz Share a "Green Drink"

Kris Carr, the amazing woman behind Crazy Sexy Cancer made it on Oprah this week to share her story.
Many of you asked us if we could get a recording of it, especially those of you in the UK and other non-U.S. countries who don't have access to Oprah. Unfortunately, we don't own a TV, but we were able to go to a friends house to watch it.
Here is a synopsis of her story from Oprah.com:
"In 2003, Kris was a model and aspiring actress. Then she received devastating news—she had a rare form of cancer that was in its most serious stage. Kris immediately set to figuring out what to do about the cancer…and picked up a camera to record the process.
After getting prescribed drastic treatments—including a recommendation for a triple organ transplant—Kris searched for other opinions and explored alternative options like health food and yoga. Her journey was made into the documentary Crazy Sexy Cancer, which aired on TLC, and the book Crazy Sexy Cancer Tips."
Well, it turns out that the "health food" she turned to was none other than a high raw food diet.
On the show she talks with Oprah about her whole journey, from finding out she has cancer, to the diagnosis and treatment options, to her discovery of healthy foods and yoga, and how her thoughts and joy were an integral part to her healing.
Kris claimed on Oprah that her cancer is now "stable". She is unsure if it is ever going to fully go away, but is confident that cancer has taught her how to live in the moment; to live in joy. What makes Kris so unique, us she has an entirely different view on cancer than anyone has ever heard before, at least publicly. From calling her tumors "beauty marks" to seeking new ways to make her journey to health something sexy instead of scary, Kris is certainly a brave and amazing woman for sure.
On the show, Dr. Oz went to visit Kris in order learn what she was doing that was working so well for her. He was happy she didn't "just trust modern medicine" and "that she was empowered, and she was going to go out and find solutions."
As you can see from the picture above, Kris and Dr. Oz shared a green drink, which in this case was a juice of celery, cucumber, sprouts and kale. A massive amount of minerals, packed into a cocktail! And in a very diva way, the green drink was served in wine glasses. How chic!
Two raw related stories on Oprah, within a month or so of each other...a fascinating synchronicity for sure.
Is raw food about to go mainstream...?
