Remember how I said I got my mom to read Green for Life
, and how she wanted me to make her smoothies?
Well Houston, we have a problem.
She says they're not sweet enough. I've been using bananas as the base for the smoothie. Here's what I do:
4 bananas with enough water to cover
greens and more greens (lettuce and spinach and kale and sprouts and celery and fresh herbs) until the VitaMix is filled to the top after
This is a woman who considers M&M's and Snickers their own separate food group. I'll give her a pint of smoothie, and she'll whine and complain about how huge it is... meanwhile I'll scarf down a quart and love it.
HELP!! What can I do, short of adding sugar or agave, to sweeten it up to her liking? I guess more specifically, what fruits are there that are both really sweet and work well in a green smoothie?
