Aleesha has suggested that we start a private forum for active members only - the idea being that some of us might feel more comfortable and inclined to share deeply in the company of trusted friends. (As opposed to knowing that anyone can stumble upon what you have just posted.)
I'm all for it if that's what you guys want. Remember, this is all our home and we can move things around and make it as cozy as we'd like.
I'd also like to have some input as to what to call this new section.
I kinda like that idea... I like a bit of privacy when talking about my family, especially my kids. But that is me, and we have established that I have trust issues! LOL!
Abby, an active member is basically someone who posts regularly, as opposed to members that haven't been around for a while or that lurk in the shadows of cyber space.
The description is a little more defined when it comes to qualifying for revenue sharing (for example, needs to have been a member for at least 3 months).
OK, folks! What about a title? I'm pretty much brain dead these days as I have so much on my mind! lol
Well my FIRST impression wasn't the best. (Bear with me here).. cuz I have a strong aversion to elitism in any form. But, a private forum certainly doesn't have to be an elitist thing.
I like the idea of a private forum because, as someone said, things can be said in confidence, knowing people there will love and never judge you.
I loooove The Secret Garden... sounds soooo earthy and many birds would live there!
The reason I suggested it is: sometimes I have things going on in my life that I'd like to share with you all and get support, but honestly, I don't want anyone who may know me, do a search on the web and find my posts here and know stuff I may not want to share with them. KWIM?
I think we should make it open for those who desire access... and Carmella can post a thread to welcome the newcomer... so we can all say a big HELLO to them! We could have a minimum post count of say 50 - something small but it would also allow the person to get to know us all before coming into our Secret Garden.
