Just very quickly as we're taking the night off to watch a movie Heathy has brought along.
Against all odds, it rained all nite so when we woke up this morning, the snow had melted. Yippee! Sooooooooo, we were able to go to town with John in his car. (Yay!)
We pretty much went straight to Chantale's deli and ended up staying there for 2 hours!!! There was hardly any clients so we were able to talk for a long time. She even gave us a couple of great tips that we'll be trying out tomorrow for our 'Dessert' Day.
The food was superbe, as always. We took pics and will be putting them up as soon as we get the chance.
We'll be uncooking all day tomorrow so can't tell when we'll have a long enough break to come on the puter but we'll do our best.
So I have been mostly missing for 2 days because I saw the first pics posted here and SHORTED OUT MY KEYBOARD!!!

I'm stealing myself away from the counter for a few minutes to bring you guys up to date. (Actually, my little Rachel Ray food processor could use a break too as we sure don't want the motor to die on us! )
So today's theme is sweet treats. Yippee! The Raw Dessert Queen is in her element and I get to be her assistant. Woo-Hoo! So far we've made granola bars, oatmeal coookies, Chocolate Maca Cake (Yay! I finally get to try that stuff!!!), my pumpkin spice muffins and we've come up with our own Chocolate Mint Ice Cream. Oh, and persimmon, mango and pineapple smoothie for lunch. Mmmmmmmm
Still lots more goodies ahead of us. (In fact, I should get 'back to fun'! )
Dinner will be our mini-pockets which we can't wait to taste.
I haven't had a chance to upload yesterday's pics yet, but will do so later today, I promise.
Oh, and sorry guys! Not sure when the 'surprise' will be ready for you. We're simply too busy working away! You know the saying, 'work hard then play hard'? Looks like that's how it's gonna have to be.
Anyhoo, thinking of you all and having a total blast!
Wow, those Spinach Mushroom Quiches and Cheese Tortellinis, as well as the Crab Cakes all look so yummy!
I MUST make all of these - I have begun trying out recipes to decide what to make during the holidays, things that my un-raw relatives will enjoy (and help keep them a tinch healthier )
