I was hesitating between the Total Blender by Blendtec and Vitamix, but then the 7 year warranty on ALL parts is what sealed it for me. (Blendec used to give 8 years on theirs but then reduced it to like 2 or 3 years, and only 1 year on the carafe, which is the one thing that is most likely to need replacement.) Makes you wonder... If they had such confidence in their product, why would they REDUCE the warranty!?! Sure sent alarm bells...

I recently got to see a Blendtec in 'real' life and didn't like the feel of it at all.

So, so happy with my purchase! Don't know how I could do without it all these years!

I can hardly wait until I can get mine someday, the old blender my dads wife gave me (so sweet of her) from the 70's kinda hates me (I think I am too hard on it, even with green smoothies it'll leave chunkies).
