Got to figure how to melt cocoa butter??? there's no stoves no micro((hehe)) dilemmas?!!yup!!!
Hey Jozzie!
Can you do a dry run in your own kitchen by testing with the hottest water from the faucet as your heating source? After filling a bowl with very hot water, put cacao butter in a zip-lock bag and dunk the whole thing in the bowl.
When you do that, please make sure to let all the air out of the zip-lock bag as much as possible. Otherwise, the bag will refuse to go into the water!
Do you think that this method will work in terms of melting the cacao butter up to a point where you can easily blend it with the rest of the ingredients?
Thanks Rawbie ! They do have a sink so should have hotel HOT water !!!!!!! this will work !
p.s. I keep on forgetting that I'm doing a cake tonight @ home to have it ready tomorrow and another cake ''''demonstrating'''' tomorrow. when I checked ingredients I had enough dry coconut
but not for the cake tomorrow ! gotta go to the store !!!!!!! no RAW neighbors to borrow some from !!!!!!!!!! ggggggggrrrrrrrrrrr! J Oz

Yeah, it should work as long as the hotel water is hot enough. According to various sources in cyberspace, the melting point of cacao butter is about 93 to 100 degrees F.
You might want to consider preparing your zip-lock bags in advance. I have no idea how much cacao butter in Snowdrop's recipe calls for, but it might make sense to have two or three bags with small amounts to speed up the melting process.
I will ! take two three zip lock baggies and make sure it works or at least one of them will work; filling and topping ah; I might not go to bed tonight !!!!!!!!
I'll be thinking of tomorrow -- wishing I could be there with ya! But I'll be there in spirit for sure!
