I don't know about going from handstands into standing straight up and then running......
I can see some people passing out doing that.
I know people who stand up from sitting on a couch who pass out. Guess we should eliminate couches? Actually, not a bad idea. Maybe more people will get down on the floor and do something healthier then "passing out" every night after a fat-laden meal.
You know, if I'm going to pass out, I'd rather do it doing what Tara's doing then from high blood pressure and dis-ease. What do you think?

Ha ha!!
Yeah my yoga teacher says get rid of the couches too!!!!
I guess my point on the headstand to running is that someone who is in condition like Coach Tara... would find no problem with it. Someone who is currently not active physically... should take caution. That's all.

I'd love to see some of our fellow rawbies be able to do some push-up/head stands. I don't think too many will attempt it immediately after seeing that... then again...
Maybe once the snow melts around here I'll be able to run on the rec path in town and bust a move like Coach Tara, but for now I'll stick it out in the gym. What wonderful energy she has. Thanks for sharing the video.

you're welcome. Here's what one person told me she is doing in the snow>>>>
"Just came in from doing my first *Primal Play* ~I ran down the street, get this, it's like 10 degrees out, climbed snowbanks, trudged the deep drifts & did push ups against trees. It was a blast.
Now, I could not go for too long today, but I can envision that in a few weeks I'll be one fierce gal ! I want the ropes, camo pants & def the sledgehammer!"

I'll let her identify herself.

Wow, WHO could that be that lives in the far North! Well, it was, yes indeed me.
I have to say I spent over an hour this morning watching the videos & reading the blogs & I was so freakin inspired to reach the next level.
It was soooo much fun. Now I have been such a whiner about the cold, but it's winter, Hello, so I just decided to layer up & do it.
I had such a great time. Push ups against the trees of Northern Michigan are so much fun. I was doing lunges on my back deck. Running through snow drifts, etc. Felt like a kid & why shouldn't we ! It was cool, not choreographed, no rules, just me moving my body & using nature to guide me. Just like Raw !
This got me wondering... At what age did we look out the window and dread going out in the snow instead of looking out the window in delight that "It's snowing!!!" and wiggling in anticipation that we got to play in it?
Doesn't anyone go ice skating on a pond anymore?
Thanks for sharing this Lana! Makes me wish it snowed here!
