Chia seeds?
here is a link for chia seeds:
http://www.getchia.com/chiaproducts.html
The online outfit in the enclosed link seems to offer the most bang for one's buck if someone is looking for a cheap source of chia seeds.

I got this in my e-mail today;
In a message dated 5/8/2008 9:28:39 A.M. Pacific Daylight Time, david@davidfavor.com writes:
You may have noticed spotty Chia availability over the past month.
This is primarily because of the Oprah show with Dr. Oz where he
mentioned Chia.
Because of this many new people are buying Chia left and right.
Yesterday I had to purchase crop one year in advance just to guarantee
we'd have a few metric tonnes of Chia over the next 12 months, which
will handle around a tenth of our projected Chia orders.
If you love Chia, I recommend you keep a 6-12 month supply on hand.
Chia is cheap and stores well, freezer is best.

Chia in Mexico
Just a fact:
Here in Mexico we drink chia with lemon water, it is very traditional in some festive days.
I wonder if you can find chia from Mexico in case you canīt get it form other place.
Mmmm, chia lemonade, mmm, I thirsty, byeee

Hmm... don't know why there is a charge for you and not me???? I've ordered from them several times, no shipping charge. The prices have gone up though since I posted above. And this after I got half a dozen friends eating the stuff.

Well, I don't think we need to be concerned. I imagine most of the new people will fall by the wayside. I doubt that they know much to do with it; it is we raw foodists who know the wonderful things to do with it.

I believe that Matt and Angela at Raw Food World sell their chia for $8 lb as opposed the $12 in the OP link. My HFS is exactly double at $16. It's a shame because if I could just get out into the desert at the right time I could pick it for free - but it would probably cost me easily $16 in gas just to get there and back!

That chia availability message was a year ago. My chia is always available at my HFS now.
