Talking Going on a Field Trip! Woo-Hoo!

Don and I are going on a day trip tomorrow... It's gonna be our first ever since we moved out here over 5 years ago, so it's a major event for us!

We'll be driving our good friend, John, half-way to Vancouver. His wife will then pick him up (she happens to be in the area, visiting). From there, they'll be heading to Van in order for him to get an angeogram and then, possibly heart surgery. He's been trying alternative therapies for a year with little result and now the White Coats are saying his time is running out...

So anyways, a field trip in the works for us. You should see all the food we're taking along! Probably enough for a few days!

A little fear of running out of fresh, raw food while on the road, you think? I'd say you're right!

Anywho, here's what I've packed:

- Veggie sticks
- A big container of salad
- Don's Creamy Citrus-Herb Dressing
- Tomatoes, cubed
- Avocado
- Garlicky toasts
- Seasoned seeds
- Fruit and nut mix
- Choc chip cookies
- Maraw's Banana Nut Pancakes (Getting a little fancy, eh?)
- Coconut Vanilla Custard (to go on the above)

Oh yeah, and Don will be making a huge container of green smoothie.

I guess that's it. Think that will be enough? he he

I forgot to mention that we'll be feeding John too, but still...

By the way, as John was alone for the last few days, we've offered to prepare his evening meals which he gladly accepted. It's been a great opportunity to connect with him before his operation. Quite the challenge, I tell you, but he is doing fabulous work around it. He is totally aware that unless he manages to move the belief system/block in him that has caused this condition in the first place, it is likely to resurface again later.

He's such a dear!

He'll be taking along his Vitamix and I'm giving him a bunch of raw soup recipes so, hopefully, he'll be able to dodge some of that dreadful hospital food.

Your good energies and prayers will be most welcome!

Be back to report on Tuesday...

Blessings,

Carmella

I feel bad for your friend John that his condition didn't improve using the alternative methods. But I hope you have fun on your trip. Alanna

We're back!

Hello everyone and thank you for your kind words and support! You guys are the best!

We had a fabulous trip! Everything couldn't have gone any better. Actually, I've just posted about it on my blog so you can get all the juicy details and see some of the beautiful pics I took. Just go here.

It was nice to do something so unexpected and unusual (at least, for us! )

Well, it looks like we brought some of the magic of our journey back along with us as the weather has finally turned! Yippee!

Bring on the Sunshine!

Those pictures are gorgeous Carmella. Makes me want to be sitting there by that lovely stream, looking at the mountain in the distance. Glad you were able to get away and enjoy it.
