Why is sunfood.com so crazy expensive..?
Why is sunfood.com so crazy expensive..?
Anyone ever asked this, while communicating with Sunfood, or while
following a lecture of David Wolfe..?
I mean: this is the biggest rawfood-retailer in the world, so you should expect they could press their prices due to their size, but I guess they have the highest prices:
These crackers, brand Lydia's Organics, (type: green crackers and Luna Nori)
are $7.90 at NaturalZing, but $9.95 at Sunfood.com
Do we have to pay a extra price for charisma (Daivd Wolfe)?
Is this not communicating that rawfood is elite-food..?
BTW: I have send this personal opinion today also to Sunfood.com themselves (as a reply to their newsletter, which announced the new products of Lydia's Organics..).

Well, I don't wanna buy CHARISMA, I just want crackers!
I wanna make this deal with Sunfood:
- When I go to a D. Wolfe lecture I will pay for charisma
- When I buy something at Sunfood, I will not be charged for
charisma or other spiritual matters, but just for the product.

i agree. you would think these people, these 'gurus' of the raw food world who we are supposed to revere would make their products monatarily accessible to the average person i.e. myself a college student.
honestly, i simply refuse to pay that much. it is outrageous!

Same for me. I never buy from them, due to the outrageous prices.

Here in the Netherlands we can't buy such high quality crackers.
We ordered some stuff at NaturalZing and I must say this Lydia's Organics
is real good quality, maybe I can override someone in Amsterdam
to import their products.
If you look at the ingredientslist, wow....I think it is worth the
price (the price of NaturalZing, not of Sunfood.. ).
And everything is sprouted!
It is important to be able to buy a wider range of rawproducts, as
the temptation of the "sad-world" is immense.
Even more important is that these snacks are important to educate people.
Nothing better than to explain people the importance of sprouts and seaweed
than fantastic crackers containing these ingredients.
Without the best products, no story, no education..
Worse products, mean worse lessons.

Funny, I guess it's his charisma that IS the extra cost, or so it seems. He does spend a lot of his time marketing the "superfoods" he sells so that people will want to buy them rather than "just" the food from the earth.
I have found the prices on this site to be the lowest for MANY items (don't think they have your crackers though), and they do free shipping if you order more than $100 of stuff in the US. I don't know what the deal is with getting it to Amsterdam, though. http://www.organiclivingfood.com/default.aspx

All right -- so while I was on the topic I called the web site I was talking about to ask them a couple question before placing my next order. They were so extremely helpful and nice!! And they DO ship to other countries if you call or email the order. Plus you're in luck that the Euro is soooo much more strong than the dollar now, so the shipping would probably be minimal in the grand scheme of things.
Just FYI. But I checked -- and no crackers. But this is the company I have used in the past for my raw cacao butter to make chocolate treats. How'd your "chocolate party" go, by the way?!
