Igor's Crackers

I haven't tried them yet, but from what I read in 12 steps to raw foods, they seem to be quite awesome!

Igor's Crackers
Grind 2 cups flaxseed in Vita-Mix

Blend together:
1 cup water
3 large carrots
3 stalks celery
4 cloves garlic
2 tomatoes (optional)
1 t caraway seed
1 t coriander seed
1 t Celtic Sea Salt

Mix ground flax into blended mix by hand. Cover the dough with cheesecloth and let sit in a boal at a warm room temperature overnight to ferment slightly.
Using a spatula, spread on non-stick dehydrating sheets. Divide into squares of desired size. Dehydrate only until dry, but not crispy if you want it to taste like bread. Dry the mixture well for crispy crackers that will keep for a couple of month.
Makes 25-32 crackers.

It says to grind the 2 cups of flaxseed in a "dry" Vita-mix container.
Is this DRY Vita-mix container that is mentioned something special other than the regular Vita-mix container? I generally use an electric coffee mill to grind up flax seeds.

I don't know what the dry container is, I use what the single container I got with my Vita-Mix and it grind everything just fine. I make smoothies in there as well, so dry and wet things are good. To me at least

The dry container has a different blade than the wet container. The dry container is to make flours and grind your wheat berries and grains. I have no idea where my dry container is these days. The main reason I would never use my wet container to grind is because the grains scratched up the dry container and it looked ugly.

But I grind my flax in a coffee mill. Flax is so soft I would think the wet container should grind it up fine.

Me too. A coffee grinder works just fine.
