Thanks to everyone who helped Carolg copy and paste the
publisher's credit onto the initial post under the copyrighted recipe. I asked permission from Ani's publisher to have her copyrighted recipe be posted word for word onto this website.
She was very nice and said that as long as the appropriate credit line was at the bottom of the recipe and that someone did ask permission (myself), all was good.
A couple years ago I posted a copyrighted recipe from a book onto another raw website and got my hand slapped. I had the best intentions but just didn't know there were certain copyright laws to protect authors of recipe books.
Nothing to worry about folks. It's quite simple. Here is the long and short of it: A list of ingredients is NOT copyrighted. But the author's written directions/instructions/notes/story about the recipe ARE copyrighted.
So if you want to post a copyrighted recipe AND the
corresponding instructions word for word, just get permission. It only took me a minute to type Ani's publisher a quick email.
And if anyone else wants to post more of Ani's recipes from her new book, just send Lindsey Triebel and email. She responds promptly and seems nice.

Are we all good now?
ps - if it was my book, I honestly wouldn't be worried if people were posting my recipes online. Of course I would hope people might buy the book too as I'd probably need the support

. I personally like sharing the little I have to offer. The few recipes I've come up with myself are posted for everyone to try.
pss - i really love this website and just don't want anyone to get into trouble like I did a couple years ago. I hate following rules or worrying about stuff like this but now I'm a bit more cautious.
