Monday night it was on 'orangy' crackers Carrot? and Tuesday had Sourdough crackers.
so you spread the crackers with ''cheese''' and top with mushrooms.

Joz that's so cool you had such a great time and enjoyed the food so much. We hope to someday make a vacation of it and fly out to there and try all the raw restaurants in the area, especially CG! How far are you from CG?? Did you drive? (pardon my geographical ignorance. I've driven from Portland to Seattle but that's about it)
Funny, I've never been fond of mushrooms and tend to avoid them in raw recipes. However after trying Russell's spinach & mushroom quiche recipe and a couple others with dehydrated mushrooms, I'm warming up to them. Sarma M loves mushrooms in her new book and seems to dehydrate them a lot.
Thanks for sharing this Joz!

We drove - as my friend was taking her friend to San Fran airport to fly to New Jersey....so I went with her to do the restarants and drive back with her................. It's 300+ miles.south / west to Calif.. on the ocean.............but we talked the whole way so it did not seem so far......took turns driving.........
Yes! you will like this recipe............the capers gave this recipe a slightly 'sour' flavor. Yum.............. I got some left for lunch today and already was looking for more mushrooms yesterday...........lol!

Capers kinda/sorta remind me of little pickle berries, right Joz? They are definitely not a typical berry...
DUH! Just read the wikipedia description and it DOES say pickled...
