lol! i loooove it!!!!
"if there are aphids on my kale, i don't wash it, i just eat it..."
but larvae are too gross...oh my. i remember in grade four all the boys in our class being into eating ants for awhile. they would sit out on the playground and take turns picking them up and eating them...yikes. all the girls would stand around in a circle going ew!

i guess they got their b12 for the next ten years...
i wonder if he has had b12 levels of ants tested. should we be waiting for a dried ant superfood?!
i understand where he is coming from with the "doing what is natural" - the ants get into the food and you just eat it, the bugs are on the food and you eat it. but i still have a hard time somehow seeing where we draw the line. between ants and grasshoppers, or between worms and beetles? between water-spiders and crayfish, or minnows and trout? you see where i am going?
is it size that matters? or brains, or hearts or organs? or INTENTION?
i am as least likely to go about stomping on ants for fun as i would be to go clobbering the neighbourhood squirrels, but we did set up some mouse traps

(finding droppings on the counter

) not for fun, but more for
health...this b12 is obviously a
health issue...
it's a tough one...
