Violin Guy, each coconut ends up costing me $1.97, which I know is expensive to some people out west, but here, the minimum I can get them for is $2, and I have to drive a while to get to the store. Plus, they don't always have them, and sometimes, they're more expensive.
So, it's a good deal for me, at least.
So far, I only found 4 people who are interested, but I'm trying to spread the word. Really, it's not difficult to reach $400 when you're into raw, so it wasn't too big a deal for me. The only problem is keeping everything at my house while people come and pick stuff up. My fridge couldn't contain everything! But in the winter, my basement is pretty cool, so I can keep everything down there for a few hours.
Violin Guy, I buy from Albert's Organics. They're very nice. When they set up an account for me, I said that I would pay the driver right away, so I didn't have to provide names of people who gave me credit in the past (or something like that). I entered myself and my husband as President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer for the club
and they were fine with it. They're located in Minnesota.
